Bruce A. Williams

Bruce A. Williams has served in senior positions for several biotech and pharmaceutical companies most recently as Senior Vice President of Global Business Management at Enzon. In this role Mr. Williams directed all aspects of Enzon’s sales and marketing activities, including training, management development, and medical information for field force, post-approval clinical programs for Enzon’s marketed brands and marketing research. Prior to joining Enzon he was Executive Vice President – Sales and Marketing of Genta Incorporated. While at Genta he developed and executed plans for partnering and commercialization of Genta’s investigational products. He also directed the establishment of a commercial oncology infrastructure at Genta and led Genta’s evolution into a commercial player in the oncology market. Before joining Genta, Mr. Williams served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, at Celgene Corporation, where he built the commercial infrastructure to launch Celgene’s first pharmaceutical product, Thalomid™. Mr. Williams also provided the commercial direction for expanding Thalomid’s use through clinical programs. Currently, Thalomid is being evaluated in more than 100 cancer studies worldwide for hematological and solid tumor cancers. Mr. Williams’s extensive background also includes various management posts at Ortho Biotech and American Cyanamid Company (now American Home Products). While at Ortho Biotech, he led the launch and commercialization of the very successful biotechnical product PROCRIT. Mr. Williams received his BA in biology from Syracuse University and his MBA in finance and accounting from Columbia University.
